Tenure Track position at the Department of Accounting
About the position
The tenure track position is in business administration with a focus on accounting (e.
g., financial reporting, auditing, management accounting & control, sustainability accounting). The appointment is for six years. The basic requirement is that candidates are strong both in research and teaching. Ideally, applicants should be able to teach in each of these areas at the undergraduate level. However exceptional competence within one or two of these fields can compensate for shortcomings in the remaining field(s).
Qualified candidates should hold a doctoral degree (or equivalent) and must have completed said requirement before taking up the position. A tentative starting date for the successful applicant is August/September 2025, but SSE is open to discussing other dates, whether earlier or later. Salaries are set on an individual basis.
To be considered for the position, candidates need to submit: a) a letter of application articulating the candidate´s fit with the position description and profile of the department, including research interests and teaching competence, b) a curriculum vitae, c) copies of representative research (published articles or working papers), and d) names and contact information of three references.

The Department of Accounting is a leading accounting department in the Nordics with about 20 faculty and 10 PhD students. Our research covers a broad range of topics related to e.g., auditing, financial reporting, management accounting & control and sustainability accounting. Our faculty, many with an international background, regularly publish in leading accounting journals and employ both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
