For our project in Nyköping Sweden we are currently searching for an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
Job description:
-Draft contract documents in strict accordance with project specifications and conditions.
- Monitoring project expenses and managing the budget to control costs, including forecasting expenses and preparing detailed cost reports.
- Conduct comprehensive estimations, considering material, labor, and machinery requirements, in alignment with project drawings and site/project conditions.
- Preparing detailed Bill of Quantities in strict accordance with project drawings and specifications, collaborating closely with affected colleagues.
- Manage financial claims in adherence to project conditions, contract documents and standard forms.
- Communicate and collaborate with clients, main contractors, and sub-contractors to facilitate project progress and coordination
-Prepare sub-contractor bills, analyzing costs, and establish unit rates.
-Confirm quantities for progress and invoice verification of payments to construction contractors.
-Coordinate and schedule measurement activities with construction management.
-Prepares and maintains complete and accurate field measurement notes, including numerical calculations, basis of calculations and assumptions / background.
-Support the contract administrator in establishing requests
-Assists in evaluation of change requests: interfaces with the contract administrator for the initiation and development of contract change documents.
-Where required, support discussions and negotiations with contractor on (counter) estimates and contract change request.
-Assist in providing input to Home office for contract cost forecast developments as required.
-Liaises with Engineering, Contracts, Construction and management on evaluation of potential changes, risks assessment, and mitigation.
-Liaises with other Project Controls staff for aspects of (potential) changes.
-Assists in compiling historical data / key quantity analysis.
