Cloud & Data Platform Engineer

We are seeking a Cloud & Data Platform Engineer with strong expertise in configuring and managing cloud infrastructure, deploying data-oriented applications, and operating within Kubernetes environments. The ideal candidate will bring a robust technical background across a range of tools and technologies to design, deploy, and maintain scalable, efficient, and secure platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and set up cloud infrastructure on platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Deploy and operate data-oriented applications on Kubernetes.
• Implement scalable infrastructure using an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach.
• Design and develop internal developer platforms to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Set up and manage PaaS cloud platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.
• Automate application deployments to Kubernetes or equivalent solutions.
• Optimize monitoring and operational workflows using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

Required Skills and Experience:

Languages:

• Python and Go for development and scripting.

Cloud Infrastructure:

• Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS.
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, including deployment and management.

DevOps Tools and Practices:

• Proficiency with Terraform, Crossplane, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Flux, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, Vault, and Argo CD.

Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS):

• Experience with Databricks and Snowflake.

Additional Key Competencies:

• Proven track record in implementing scalable infrastructure through IaC methodologies.
• In-depth experience deploying and automating applications on Kubernetes or similar platforms.
• Expertise in building and operating internal developer platforms from scratch.
• A strong understanding of configuring and managing PaaS cloud infrastructures.
