To further invest in our sustainable future, we have now created a brand-new position as an ESG Controller to be placed at our global HQ in Gothenburg. The core of the position is to be the bridge between Group Finance and Corporate Sustainability function on a global scale and oversee and drive compliance in ESG-related reporting measures. Your will be the key person responsible for our sustainability reporting, ensuring alignment across the organisation, data integrity, and regulatory adherence.
What you’ll do
Lead the ESG Reporting Process
Oversee and orchestrate ESG reporting initiatives in partnership with Business Area and Corporate Function leaders, as well as act as reporting subject matter expert across the organization. You will also ensure seamless coordination and full compliance with regulatory standards.
Platform Ownership and Data Reliability
Own Mölnlycke’s ESG reporting platform Position Green and ensure robust alignment with the Sustainability function. Further you will provide oversight for accurate data collection and validation.
Stakeholder Support and Compliance Alignment
Act as the main advisor to platform users, offering strategic guidance on reporting protocols and ensuring alignment with Investor AB standards.
Internal Control Framework Design
Develop and implement a structured internal control framework to uphold the accuracy and completeness of ESG data, working closely with Group Internal Control.
Decision-Support and Data Presentation
Compile, analyze, and present key ESG data, delivering actionable insights for Group Management, Business Areas, and Global Functions to drive informed decision-making.
ESG Reporting Standards Adherence
Prepare content for interim and annual ESG reports in line with applicable standards, including oversight of both internal and external CSRD reporting requirements.
Audit Facilitation
Manage the audit process, ensuring compliance with both limited and reasonable assurance requirements.
Regulatory Updates and Compliance Assurance
Maintain current knowledge of ESG reporting developments, particularly around ESRS standards, to ensure compliance with evolving legal and regulatory expectations.
Investment Policy Compliance
Ensure that sustainability assessments align with the investment policy and are documented for each investment request.
ESG Forecasting Support
Provide data input to support the Corporate Sustainability function in ESG forecasting initiatives.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, preferably with an ESG focus.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and enhancement of reporting and control processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of CSRD principles and reporting standards.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Deep understanding of business strategy, objectives, and operational challenges.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
