As a Category Manager, you will lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing plans that strengthen and streamline the supplier base, lower total cost of ownership (TCO), and support the company’s operational priorities and sustainability ambitions. The position calls for strong analytical ability, advanced negotiation skills, and the leadership to deliver long-term value across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Sourcing & Category Leadership

  • Define and roll out global and regional category strategies for the aftermarket area.
  • Perform supply market mapping and analysis, and run structured sourcing projects end-to-end.
  • Drive sourcing activities within NPD/SPD initiatives, ensuring alignment with the aftermarket category roadmap.

2. Cost & Risk Management

  • Use TCO frameworks as a core input to sourcing and supplier decisions.
  • Track commodity and market price movements and create mitigation actions when needed.
  • Lead data-driven negotiations and execute commercial cost-down programs.
  • Proactively identify, initiate, and implement cost-out initiatives, including order placement where relevant.

3. Supplier Relationship & Compliance

  • Own and manage supplier contracts covering pricing, quality, delivery performance, and sustainability requirements.
  • Build long-term, collaborative supplier partnerships that enable innovation and supply resilience.
  • Ensure suppliers meet ethical, environmental, and governance expectations in line with company standards.

  • Prioritizes work based on value, impact, and organizational needs.

Analytical Excellence

  • Able to interpret complex data, spot trends, and uncover root causes behind issues.
  • Uses analytical tools (e.g., spend analysis, cost modeling) to translate insights into actionable sourcing strategies with measurable results.
