Production Technician - Battery Cell Manufacturing

We are looking for production technicians to join us in the scale up of our sodium-ion battery cell manufacturing facility! The Production Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment on the battery cell assembly line. This role ensures the efficient and accurate production of battery cells while adhering to safety and quality standards. The Production Technician will work closely with engineers and other team members to optimize production processes, conduct quality checks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery to produce battery cells according to production schedules and specifications.
- Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and accurate assembly of battery cells.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on battery cells and components to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process deviations, working closely with engineers and other team members to resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper handling of chemicals and materials, and ensure the regular cleaning and maintenance of machines, to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback on production processes and suggesting enhancements to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Willingness to work in different areas of production as needed, demonstrating versatility and adaptability to changing production requirements.
What were looking for
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Vocational or technical training related to manufacturing, electronics, or a related field is highly beneficial.
- Good written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work instructions
- Competence in using basic hand tools and measurement instruments
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, etc.) for data entry, report generation, and documentation
- Knowledge of industry safety protocols and the ability to maintain a safe working environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with effective communication skills
