IT - Manager
Are you our next IT Manager?
In order to maximize the results of our collaboration with our external IT suppliers, we want internal representation to delegate responsibility regarding the day-to-day and overall/strategic IT issues.
Primary Objective
Provide management and support for the organisation's IT infrastructure and operations.
This includes overseeing vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring smooth IT operations and service delivery, managing the IT budget effectively, procuring and handling IT resources and logistics, managing IT assets, providing IT support services to users, and successfully implementing IT projects.
Additionally, it involves ensuring the security of the IT environment by implementing robust cybersecurity measures to protect against threats.
The overall goal is to optimise IT performance, minimise downtime, safeguard data, and meet the organisation's technological needs and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
• Vendor Management and Contract Administration: The IT Manager is responsible for managing relationships with vendors and ensuring that contracts are properly administered. This involves negotiating contracts, monitoring vendor performance and ensuring SLA’s are adhered to and resolving any issues that arise.

• Cybersecurity Management: The IT Manager ensures the organization's IT systems are secure by implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures. This includes monitoring for potential threats, managing security protocols, coordinating with security teams, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, and addressing vulnerabilities to safeguard against cyber-attacks. They also oversee the development of incident response plans and user cyber-security awareness training programs.

• Global IT Strategy Delivery and Adherence: The IT Manager plays a key role in delivering AKG’s global IT strategy within county. They ensure that local IT initiatives align with the company’s overarching objectives and adhere to global standards and policies. This involves collaborating with global and regional leadership, implementing global IT frameworks, and ensuring compliance across all IT operations in county while fostering communication between the local and global teams.

• IT Operations and Service Delivery: The IT Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring that systems and networks are running smoothly. They are responsible for maintaining high levels of service delivery to meet the needs of the organisation.

• IT Budget Management: Managing the IT budget is an essential responsibility of the IT Operations Manager. They collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and monitor the IT budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.

• IT Procurement & Logistics: The IT Manager is involved in the procurement of hardware, software, and other IT equipment. They assess technology needs, research vendors, and make informed decisions regarding purchases. They also manage the logistics of acquiring and deploying IT assets.

• IT Asset Management: It is the responsibility of the IT Manager to track and manage IT assets throughout their lifecycle. This includes maintaining an inventory of hardware and software, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.

• IT Support: The IT Manager oversees the IT support function, ensuring that end-users receive timely and effective technical assistance. They establish support procedures, manage the help desk, and coordinate with others teams/parties to resolve user issues.

• IT Project Implementation: The IT Manager plays a crucial role in the implementation of IT projects. They collaborate with project managers, define project scope and timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure successful project completion.
