Director of Operations
We are looking for a dedicated Director of Operations to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is part of our excellent team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in building one of the first large-scale European battery factories.
Managing the team of Operations at Revolt 1 in Northvolt ETT. Including operational departments of; Production, Maintenance, Production Technology, Logistics & Planning and HSE. Empowering the organization to ensure safe operations and continuous improvements in order to obtain Operations with excellent quality and OEE resulting in a successful business. Plan, direct, and monitor all manufacturing activities within Revolt-1 to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and establish and meet production specifications and schedules; safety, quality, volume, cost, and yield targets.
Key Responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
- Safe Operations, ensuring Safety and Environmental requirements on site.
- Capacity of Production with efficient OEE, manning and cost efficient operations
- Optimization of Operations processes in cooperation with other departments within Materials team and company
- Strategic and tactical planning for Operations, including Develop and implement schedules and procedures and allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity.
- Analyze production and malfunction records to identify problems and recommend solutions (for example changes to procedures, workflow, or equipment) that will improve performance.
- Liaise with leadership team and together understand current and future needs and develop plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities.
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of managers who are responsible for various manufacturing activities via close collaboration with R&D teams as well.
- Has full managerial responsibility for multiple departments.
- Accountable for developing new methods, tools and processes. Responsible for sharing of best practices.
- Ensure adherence to Northvolt Code of Conduct, applicable legislation and established policies and guidelines within area of responsibility.
- Accountable for environment, health and safety as per local legislation, policies etc. Physical area of responsibility according to Site layout.
- Identifies and resolves complex technical, operational and/or organizational problems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of science in chemical/mechanical/industrial engineering
- Proven Leadership in large Manufacturing Organizations (100+ people)
- Experience in the modern Operations Management principles: Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma,
- Documented leadership training

Full time employment, fixed salary.
