Driven spearhead Data Engineer with passion for creating value from data
What you will do
The supply chain business is changing, we are looking for an experienced Data Engineer who will be an important part of our digitalization journey where automating supply chain business processes are transforming business and IT, into common value streams.
This is not the type of data engineering role where you are only part of setting up the data platform and someone else creates the value from the data, neither is it the type of data engineering where the end result is a BI report for someone else to draw conclusions from. Instead, you will be an important part of truly digitalizing the supply chain business - building digital products for automating decisions in the business process together with data scientists, ML engineers, software engineers and supply chain experts.
As our spearhead Data Engineer, you will of course also do traditional data engineering work such as developing and optimizing data pipelines and storage, data modelling and determine feasibility of data architectures. However, you will do it in the business organization responsible for both development and the business outcomes from what’s being developed - you will be able to see the fruit of your labor and be part of the full life cycle of data driven business solutions – from early exploration phases to development, production and business outcomes.
Who are you?
To succeed in this context we think that you as a person are not someone who waits around to receive a task – instead you connect to people, identify what needs to be done, drive, and make sure things gets done by communicating effectively. As a master of your craft, you care about the quality and development methods and take pride in seeing the data engineering professionalism among more junior developers rise from your guidance. You feel for the communities you are in and like to be part of a learning organization.
You carry a lot of passion in unleashing the value of data by developing, deploying and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines. The data can vary from small to big volumes, using different methods such as batch, streaming, distributed, APIs etc., and to cope with an increasing volume of both data and pipelines you share and stimulate a DataOps culture in the community. You understand how data needs to be transferred, combined, transformed and used to create continuous business value.
What you will bring
We think that you have extensive experience in SQL and NoSQL , Spark, Python, Databricks and Delta lake. And to feel at home in our architecture you also have deep knowledge in Azure services such as Data Factory, Service bus, and Event hub as well as Azure DevOps and various database types on Azure.
This role will work closely with other advanced analytics roles and many of the digital products are machine learning based, so an interest in AI/Machine Learning, MLOps and feature engineering is needed.
You like being part of different constellations such as ad hoc exploration teams, stable DevOps teams and networks of peers, and as self-propelled you can navigate different modes of development. Having one foot in exploratory development and one in continuous development and maintenance, you have the opportunity to unleash your creativity but also act on your sense of quality and structure.
Ready for the next move?
Are you excited to bring your skills and disruptive ideas to the table? We can’t wait to hear from you! Interviews will be conducted continuously, so if you feel you are the right person, please send in your application today. The position is placed in Gothenburg.
