Imaging Software Engineer
We are looking for a dedicated Imaging Software Engineer to strengthen our team! In this role you will use Python and C# to support industrialization of our cameras into mass production as well as to help to further develop the SW platform for our production systems. Who is your future team?
You will join the Imaging team, a specialized group of four experienced engineers focused on software development in the fields of Imaging and Optics. As a member of this team, you'll contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software frameworks and production tests that enable the testing, verification and calibration of our production systems across all Axis products. These solutions play a critical role in supporting high-volume manufacturing operations at our global facilities, where millions of products are produced and tested annually-The Imaging team is part of a larger division of about 60+ engineers working with Production Engineering and Technology (PET), and together with our colleagues within SW, electronics and mechanical engineering we develop and support production systems globally.
What you'll do here as Imaging Software Engineer?
As an Imaging Software Engineer, you will play an important role in designing, developing, and maintaining software frameworks used for verification and calibration of our production systems. This includes designing and implementing automated test systems, integrating software components and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production processes. The software will run on PCs connected to our production systems, which means that you will face both real-time programming challenges as well as writing software that uses hardware to do calibration of our production systems.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining software frameworks to facilitate machine monitoring, verification, calibration and production testing using Python and C#
* Designing and maintaining the imaging tests framework to support production processes
* Providing technical support to R&D product development initiatives
* Analyzing production data to drive system improvements and innovation
* Contributing to strategic planning for future imaging test development
Our team leverages a range of technologies, including:
* Programming languages: C#, Python, C++
* Collaboration tools: Jira, Confluence, QlikView, Visual Studio
* Version control systems: Git, SVN, Gerrit
* Continuous integration platforms: TeamCity
* Agile methodologies
Who are we looking for/who are you?
We think you are a dedicated software developer who is curious, responsible, organized and methodical. You enjoy problem solving and working with software. Ability to communicate is important as the role requires collaboration with other teams and departments. The work includes a lot of freedom and independence, which requires that you are proactive and take initiative.
We'd love to hear that you have:
* A huge interest in software development!
* University degree preferably within computer science, engineering physics, electrical engineering or equivalent
* At least a couple of years of experience from SW-development
* Good communication skills in English and Swedish, both in speech and writing
* Good skills in both Python and C#
Bonus points for:
* Interest in the complexity of creating efficient productions systems deployed at our factories around the world
* Experience within imaging algorithms and optics
The position is full time. Travelling is not required, but there will probably be possibilities to visit our factories around the world!
