About the position

One of Yourstaff’s Client is a company active in the automotive industry. They are one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, construction machinery, and marine and industrial engines. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in the company’s office in Gothenburg. Temporary travel both domestically and abroad may occur.

Responsibilities

• Component Ownership: Ensure the technical performance and maintenance of your assigned components, from concept through delivery.
• Drive Development: Lead and harmonize component solutions following system road maps, and contribute proactively to future roadmaps.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with purchasing, operations, quality teams, and suppliers to optimize component functionality and quality.
• Innovation and Problem Solving: Constantly seek improvement areas and deliver creative solutions in line with Client’s goals for sustainable transport.

Profile and Qualifications:

We believe you’re an engineer who’s passionate about technology and thrives in collaborative environments. Curiosity and a willingness to adapt are essential to help deliver next-generation technical solutions with our team.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing cast metal or plastic components.
• Proficiency in Creo.
• Experience working cross-functionally with various stakeholders in a component-responsible role.
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written English
• A positive, inclusive attitude, and a commitment to teamwork and continuous development.

Contract type

Full-time, consulting assignment until 2025-05-02, with the possibility of extension. Start immediately.
