Sustainability Specialist
Sustainability Specialist in the Supply Chain at Scania are responsible for securing and supporting the development of a sustainable supply chain.
As a Sustainability Specialist within procurement, you will be a key player when it comes to shaping the future of Scania’s supply chain strategy. We offer a job in an international environment with multiple contact surfaces, both internally and externally. Procurement has an impact on almost all of Scania’s core processes including R&D, sales & marketing, and production & logistics.
Your work assignment
Respect for human rights guides Scania’s action across the value chain, therefore further developing and implementing human rights due diligence in our supply chain will be your main assignment. This includes supporting in the yearly human rights risk analysis, developing mitigation strategies and track the effectiveness of already implemented action plans. Furthermore, a lot of the teams' focus is on raw materials, and it will be part of your assignment to perform deep-dive risk assessments and mitigation strategies for some of the prioritized raw materials, based on stakeholder dialogue. Our function supports the global Scania organization by providing process, methods, guidelines, training, and by advising the purchasing organization on regards of strategic decisions to fulfill our ambition level.
You will work closely with the Volkswagen Group and the TRATON Group. A significant portion of your role will involve developing the human rights due diligence framework to comply with existing and upcoming legislation.
Your profile
We are looking for a Sustainability Specialist candidate with competence in supply chain business development who believes in Scania's core values and is a team player, eager to solve problems, and has a passion for improving the world around you. You are creative and innovative. You have good communicative skills and are good at creating and maintaining well-functioning business relationships. You are confident and enjoy working in a diverse environment.
- At least 4 years of experience and/or knowledge in human rights, ideally with a focus on human rights due diligence
- Relevant academic degree (preferably within environmental studies, sustainability or legal background)
- Has worked/experience within UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas
- Presentation skills and ability to express yourself in a clear and respectful way
- Ability to fluently communicate in English, both written and spoken.
