Carsten Höller Studio is looking for a Project Manager with a background in architecture to join our small team in Stockholm as soon as possible.
The artist’s studio is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented candidate with exceptional organizational skills, experience working in a high-paced environment, and a strong ability to maintain a strict work ethic with a focus on multi-tasking, as well as excellent English communication skills.
The candidate must be a qualified problem-solver, proficient at following through a wide variety of creative projects efficiently, and able to work well in a team while also bringing projects to fruition independently and rigorously. A working knowledge of 3D Design software, such as Rhinoceros or AutoCAD is a requirement.
Job description
Under the supervision of the Artist and the Studio Manager, the Project Manager will assist in the production of various commissions, exhibitions and publications projects.
Tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee production schedules and budgets for comprehensive creative projects.
- Coordinate the execution of large-scale exhibitions with international museums, non-profit institutions, auction houses, publishers and galleries.
- Research new producers, production materials and procedures.
- Assist the studio with daily tasks, such as scheduling, invoicing, and travel arrangements.
- Conduct research and prepare presentations on given research topics in the form of proposals for new projects.
- Prepare texts and work descriptions for internal and external use.
Qualifications and experience:
- Superior ability to take on a wide variety of projects at once, high stress tolerance and adaptability.
- Excellent English language skills in speech and writing are a must; Swedish is preferable; other languages are appreciated.
- Previous work experience in the art field. Association with the gallery-, institution-, and/or auction circuit is a plus.
- An educational background in architecture or related.
- Superior level of independence, accountability, and initiative.
- Keen interest in contemporary art and knowledge of current art events.
- A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office, and 3D Design software, such as Rhinoceros or AutoCAD is a must.
- A valid driver's license is an advantage.
The job is based in Stockholm, Sweden, but the candidate must be prepared for frequent and extended periods of travel.
Salary: based upon agreement.
