Staff Engineer Material Development
As a Staff Material Engineer, you will be responsible for developing Li-ion battery cells, with a particular focus on electrolyte materials. Your role involves conducting evaluation and analysis tasks aimed at the successful integration of electrolytes and cells in both commercial and R&D projects. These tasks will be carried out in consultation with the manager. Additionally, you will lead material development for your assigned R&D topics and have the opportunity to propose and research new technologies to drive innovation in this field.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to introduce new materials into projects.
- Perform electrolyte mixing, evaluate electrolyte properties, and conduct cell evaluations.
- Develop new components (salts, solvents, additives) and carry out related electrochemical analyses.
- Ensure electrolyte and related electrochemical analyses meet the qualifications for commercial cell projects.
- Investigate and technically identify promising electrolyte materials.
- Develop intellectual property to secure a competitive position.
Qualifications and experience:
- MSc or PhD in Chemical/Material Engineering, and Chemistry.
- Proven expertise and success in developing electrolyte materials.
- Preferably 8+ years industrial experience in R&D of electrolyte materials.
- Experience with electrolyte materials for Li-ion battery.
- Proficient in the characterization and evaluation of electrolytes.
- Deep understanding of the effect of electrolyte formulation on cell characteristics.
- Expertise in organic materials and electrochemical analysis.
- Experience working with international colleagues and customers.
- Must worked in multi-cultural environment.
