We are looking for an inspiring Area Sales Manager to join our team and build the market for Hubgrade in Sweden. This is the most sophisticated modular intelligent software solutions that is present on the market. Based on advanced real time control and forecasting, the intelligent tools continuously provide optimal operation and maximize the value of the existing systems, making water processes smarter, safer and more sustainable.

Your primary focus will be to find and nurture clients along the entire sales process - identifying new prospects, responding to customer demands, answering tenders, and taking part in global sales development activities.
You will be working in close collaboration with the Marketing, Process Engineers & Product teams to make sure to clearly identify customers' needs and challenges that are deeply rooted in wastewater treatment plant operation optimization.
Our ideal candidate has exceptional listening and oral communication skills. Is knowledgeable about Value Based selling and is not afraid of selling advanced software & technology.
Depending on where you live, your workplace will be hybrid, but you will be able to work from the office or our sister company Veolia Water Technologies in Lund.
We are looking for a curious sales person that loves finding and opening doors and has the ability to understand customers' needs. You are strong in value-based selling and skilled in finding customer-oriented arguments, solutions and business models. You need to be confident with learning and using basic technical concepts from our industry, even if you are not the expert.
You have great presentation skills both in written materials and in meetings. You are a good listener, that can recognize customer needs and what is said even when it is not said out loud. You have a natural interest in doing sales and business development work. Working with numbers comes easy to you, you are a quick learner, and you are curious and creative in how you approach a new market.

Job Description

Responsibilities
- Identify sales opportunities in collaboration with marketing
- Prospect potential customers via networking, professional fair, email, or other forms of communication to ensure they are added to the sales pipeline and produce more qualified leads
- Generate high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, negotiating prices and completing sales
- Prepare and conduct presentations and product demonstrations that explain our wastewater treatment solutions to customers and prospective clients
- Prepare technical proposal and tender submission for wastewater projects (in cooperation with our technical experts)
- Discuss equipment needs and system requirements with customers and engineers
- In charge of registering and tracking sales opportunities using our customer relationship management (Salesforce CRM)
- Set and achieve sales goals and quotas
Qualifications

Furthermore, you:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering (Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical, Automation etc.)
- Have 2+ years of experience in technical sales, or related experience in
the Water and Wastewater Industry or Automation - Experience with sales of software, automations or services is an advantage
- Possess strong interpretation of technical specifications in the development of project tenders, designs, cost estimates, and proposals
- Have the ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers
- Have good communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills
- Existing network/contact inside the municipality sector, water or wastewater industry is a big plus
- Swedish and English proficiency is required
- Are willing to travel up to 20% of the time
