Responsibilities
As our Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in developing a seamless, efficient, and compliant payroll process that aligns with our broader HR vision. You will join People Services Sweden, a function dedicated to building a workplace where employees feel supported, inspired, and empowered. You will lead our commitment to payroll excellence, guiding the service model to align with our mission. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure that our payroll processes are efficient, compliant, and seamlessly integrated. With a clear focus on strategic alignment, you will connect payroll activities to our business objectives, ensuring payroll adds outstanding value to the organisation. Furthermore, you will:
- Be responsible for overseeing every aspect of payroll operations – from initial setup to workflow mapping – ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Lead projects to optimize our payroll system, working closely with both tech and specialist teams
- Lead and inspire your team of Payroll Specialists by setting an example and creating a work environment where team members feel valued and motivated
- Staying updated on relevant laws and best practices, making sure our payroll practices always align with current standards
- Foster open communication and transparency across the organisation, partnering with managers and stakeholders to ensure clarity and consistency
- Be responsible for performance management and salary reviews
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we believe you are an experienced payroll leader who will bring both technical expertise and strong leadership skills. You have a strong understanding of payroll systems, processes, and regulatory requirements, along with proven experience in payroll management and extensive knowledge of payroll regulations and systems. You are a natural leader, who can bring exceptional abilities in team development and coaching, fostering a positive and growth-oriented culture within the team.
Additionally, we see that you have:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proven track record in leading payroll projects and implementing system improvements
- Analytical and solution-oriented mindset, approaching challenges with an eye for efficiency and accuracy
- Attention to details, combined with a commitment to continuous improvement both in the payroll and people field

This is a permanent full-time position based in Stockholm and reports to the People Service Centers Manager.
