Runner Position Hotel Draken / Bar 34 (rooftop)

Suitable candidate responsibilities :

Stocking the Bar:

• Ensure all bar supplies(spirit, pure, juices, etc.) , including glassware, napkins, straws, and garnishes,ice, are well-stocked and readily available.
• Regularly check inventory levels and alert supervisors when supplies are running low.

Cleaning and Maintaining:

• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down counters, cleaning spills, and keeping the workstations tidy.
• Empty trash bins and keep the bar area and surrounding spaces clean and presentable.
• Clean containers & glassware, and other bar equipment in order to meet health and safety standards.

Assistance to Bartenders:

• Assist bartenders by fetching and organizing ingredients required for drink preparation.
• Help with tasks such as cutting fruit, preparing garnishes, and filling ice bins.
• Assist in the pouring and serving of non-alcoholic beverages and simple cocktails.(education will be available)
• Assist by Verifying the age of customers to ensure they are in legal drinking age requirements.(in case of doubt)
• Assist by informing if a guest/ group has started to be in the levels of intoxication, that local regulation does not permit the sale of alcoholic beverages.

Customer Service:

• Maintain a friendly and approachable nature when interacting with customers.
• Assist customers in finding seating, taking orders, water & menu, or directing them to the appropriate staff member (host, bartender or supervisor).
• Respond to customers with enough information you have, in case you do not know, direct them to another staff member. (avoid misunderstandings)

Team Collaboration:

• Communicate effectively with bartenders, hosts, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately in time ,especially with the restaurant Brasserie Draken. ( 33rd floor / one level down)
• Efficiency and assisting the others during busy hours if needed, without skipping your priorities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of bar operations and customer service principles.
• Strong communication skills and friendly behavior.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
• Knowledge of local alcohol laws and regulations (preferred but not required).

Working Conditions:

• The role involves standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
• Work hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays,
• The environment may be noisy and fast-paced, requiring the ability to remain focused.
• The Bar Runner is a valuable member of the bar team, contributing to the overall customer experience by ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient atmosphere. This role provides an opportunity to learn about bar operations and customer service while working in a dynamic and social setting.
• The Bar Runner is also included as an extension of the restaurant team helping the bar gaining sales, also assisting the restaurant with guest service. (from floor 34 to 33 )
