Stoneridge Electronics AB in Örebro is now looking for an experienced EHS Engineer with a strong business mindset.

In this role you will work in close partnership with Operations, Focus Factory Leaders, and the Regional EHS Manager to implement both local and Global EHS initiatives.
This role will address local EHS related issues and improvement projects and ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations. The EHS Engineer supports the activities required to drive an environmental and safety focused culture across Stoneridge.
As a EHS Engineer, you will guide the organization in the work environment area. And you will be monitoring the legislation and regulations in the EHS area, and keep the organization informed of changes. You will be the contact person for the authorities on work environment issues.

Responsibilities
- Develop our systematic work environment management and environmental work both strategically and operationally and act as expert support in improvement work, both regarding legal requirements and internal guidelines and requirements.
- Support to the plant's management team in matters relating to health, safety, and environment. Drive and coordinate all local EHS initiatives of incidents, near misses and risk observations.
- Support the line organization in the daily Work environment and environmental work. And Provide EHS related training.
- Collaborate with managers across the business to develop and improve the organization's work in the area.
- Follow up and compile reports in the broad Work environment area.
- Lead our Design-In-EHS process for the Plant and work closely together with our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team during the development of new processes and equipment.
- This role will be responsible for the EHS for sites in Örebro, Solna and Dundee, and work closely with Human resources, Quality, Production and other departments.
- Organize and lead relevant audits within EHS like inspections and supervisory visits.
Qualifications
- University degree in engineering within EHS or chemical engineering, or other relevant education
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience from EHS work and responsibility, preferable within manufacturing and warehouse, also experiences working with chemical materials.
- Experience and high knowledge about the Swedish Work environmental regulations
- Experience of ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 and practical experiences from external audits and improvement work.
- Excellent knowledge in both English and Swedish since you will be working in both languages daily.
- Business travel is a part of the position, mainly within Sweden
Additional qualifications
· Experienced user of the IA system
· Experience of working in another Global matrix organization
· Experience delivering EHS training
· Experience from LEAN production
· Driving license is required.

This role requires strong relationship building skills where you can communicate effectively and quickly build trust with different stakeholders.
To achieve the desired results, the ability to inspire and coach employees and the organization in the right direction is extremely important.
