Level Designer
IO Interactive is currently looking for a Level Designer to join Project 007, a brand-new James Bond video game to be developed and published by IOI. Featuring a wholly original Bond story, players will step into the shoes of the world's favourite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story.
As a Level Designer at IO Interactive, you'll play a key role in shaping immersive experiences in the world of 007. From initial layouts and gameplay prototypes to final in-game implementation, you'll own and refine your levels, ensuring high-quality standards and pushing the boundaries of entertainment in gaming.
What you will do:
- Design captivating levels with a focus on delivering an exceptional experience.
- Craft engaging missions that integrate gameplay, narrative, and environmental storytelling.
- Take a holistic approach to level design, balancing mechanics, progression, and overall experience.
- Collaborate with diverse teams, including game designers, artists, animators, programmers, as well as dialogue and sound designers, to deliver cohesive and immersive levels.
- Own the player experience in your levels and strive for excellence at every stage.
- Document your designs and communicate them clearly with the team.
- Playtest, review, and iterate on levels to refine gameplay and improve quality.
Who you are:
- Have 5+ years of relevant experience in level design with a robust portfolio showcasing your work.
- Possess a holistic understanding of level design, from layout and mechanics to crafting memorable player experiences.
- Proficient with 3D level editors and visual scripting tools.
- Experienced in working with proprietary game engines.
- A strong team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Driven and passionate about creating innovative and engaging gameplay moments.
