Sustainability Coordinator - student
Svea Solar is on a mission to end the use of fossil fuels. Our installations to date have helped avoid CO2 emissions equivalent to the electricity use of 1,400,000 households for an entire year. As we continue our journey towards a sustainable future and drive innovation in the energy field, we are now looking for a dedicated student to work part time asSustainability Coordinator.
The role
As a student worker within sustainability, you would play an important role in driving the sustainability work at Svea Solar forward during a very exciting time when a lot of things are happening. You would work closely withand report to our Head of Group Sustainability, Malin Cronqvist. Your role will be to assist in various sustainability related tasks including but not limited to sustainability reporting, implementation of new regulatory frameworks and supplier Due Diligence.We want you to be able to work roughly 5 - 10 hours per week, that of course can be flexible based on you studies.
The role is located at Svea Solar’s headquarters in Alvik Strand, just a few minutes’ walk from Alvik subway and commuter train.
Responsibilities
- Assist with various tasks related to sustainability reporting such as data gathering, calculation of key metrics and analysis
- Assist in drafting, reviewing and updating sustainability related policies
- Assist in the review of suppliers’ sustainability performance
- Assist in the implementation of new legislative sustainability frameworks such as the EU Battery Directive, CSRD, etc.
- Further acquaire and actively share knowledge within own domain
To succeed in this role, we believe you are an analytical person who understands data and can make reasonable assumptions for calculations. You are structured and pay attention to details while still keeping a holistic and pragmatic approach to your tasks. Having an ability to navigate in new environments and interact with various stakeholders with self-confidence is crucial. Once onboarded and up-to-speed, you are expected to work independently with your tasks while communicating closely with other employees across the company when needed.
- Currently enrolled at a university program within sustainability, engineering, energy or finance
- Interest in sustainability and a basic understanding for the major sustainability issues and frameworks that exist
- Experience from handling data and making calculations in excel
- Experience from running projects independently
- Strong communication skills, experience from managing communication with various stakeholders.
