Launch Lead
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of large-scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon-free society
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Full understanding of the customer specific requirements and timelines.
- Developing and managing the launch timeline, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are informed and involved in the process.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as production, engineering, procurement, supply chain, and quality control to ensure that all aspects of the launch are executed smoothly.
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing contingency plans to minimize the impact of any potential issues during the launch process.
- Ensuring that the manufacturing process is optimized for quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Overseeing the ramp-up of production to reach full-scale production, monitoring progress and adjusting as necessary.
- Collaborating with suppliers to secure materials and components needed for the launch and managing the logistics of delivering these materials to the manufacturing facility.
- Ensuring that all necessary regulatory and safety requirements are met during the launch process.
- Leading post-launch evaluations to identify areas for improvement and ensure that lessons learned are applied to future launches.
- Maintaining a high level of communication with stakeholders and customer, keeping them informed of progress and any issues that arise.
Requirements:
- Degree in business or engineering.
- Must have experience as a tier 1 supplier at a management level: minimum 2 years or 1 year as an OEM.
- 1 year experience with launching a line or a product for an automotive OEM.
- Strong background in manufacturing operations, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience from Business Intelligence software like MS Power BI or similar.
- Experience in the Operations Management principles: Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S
Specific skills:
- MS Office 365
- Fluent in English, High level German also strongly suggested.
- Analytical, numerically acute with strong proven problem solving abilities.
- Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
