QA Lead

We are Ascentic, a Swe-Lankan Software development partner in Colombo. Founded in 2017 to support Swedish clients with their software needs we have quickly scaled up into a stable, yet still growing, teenage company. We are now expanding our business in Sweden and are looking for a QA Lead to join our company.

• Confidence in developing thorough test strategies for complex products.
• Deep understanding of SDLC methodologies, with the capability to apply industry best practices to achieve high-quality deliveries.
• Mastery in test automation across all layers, from Selenium with SpecFlow in .NET or Playwright for web applications.
• Create and execute automated tests for REST APIs using RestSharp or similar technologies.
• Implement and maintain mobile test automation using Appium.
• Track record of implementing DevOps principles and technologies, with a focus on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
• Proactive identification of opportunities to enhance quality assurance capabilities.
• Stay updated on Quality Assurance (QA) trends and advocate for continuous self and team improvement.
• Ability to confidently lead and unite the team using company processes and practices.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Solid interpersonal, communication, and customer management skills.
• Be responsible for the projects test strategy and process Prepare and govern the UAT planning and reporting for product releases.

Prefered Qualifications

• 7+ years of QA experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Professional certification such as ISTQB will be an added advantage.
• Experience from working in the fintech sector.

What you’ll do

• Work on-site in Sweden for different consulting projects with our Swedish clients.
• Provide consultancy when needed across projects regarding manual, automation, performance, and API automated tests.
• Be at the forefront in leading and driving teams to develop, maintain and use an automation framework.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices, new testing tools, and test strategies.
• Develop and apply relevant testing processes to new and existing products to meet the quality needs.
• Providing trusted advice for your team and your customer.
