Associate Director Project Execution Region Europe North

What you will enjoy doing

• In this role, you will initiate timely the preparation of execution strategies, scope splits and total CAPEX estimates, and you will keep an overview on projects approaching the Linde Stage Gate reviews and you will initiate reviews and approvals by Director Project Execution in time
• You will be accountable and responsible for all projects assigned to you and your team concerning HSE targets, compliance, budget, time and quality as well as for your cost center budget to ensure accurate reporting
• You will be responsible to identify, select, manage and control contractors and vendors and act as first level of escalation for them
• Furthermore, you will keep close contact to Business Development in your region, understand the business case behind a project and identify critical success factors
• You will actively collaborate with teams from other regions and other segments in order to share competences
• In this role, you will lead a team of project managers and will take on all leadership tasks, such as planning your team’s workload, assigning projects, developing your team and promoting change

What makes you great

• You have a master's degree in a related engineering discipline and a project management track record covering Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning of industrial gas plants; Having worked in a leading role for several years is a plus
• An additional plus is previous experience with CO2 plants and / or hydrogen electrolysis including the corresponding overview on technologies and solution providers
• You have a very high financial acumen as well as a broad understanding of the Linde Gas Business Model and Linde Engineering’s products and you like to think “big picture” for the entire company, navigate easily within a complex organization and enjoy aligning many stakeholders.
• You achieve results by collaboration and master balancing flexible approaches against clear project decisions. You are able to take challenging decisions and explain them to others
• You are trustworthy, highly reliable and resilient in demanding phases and you show team orientation and like to demonstrate leadership skills and communicate clearly
• Social and intercultural competencies is one of your strengths and you are willing to travel
