Summary:
Install, adjust, repair and perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electronic, mechatronic, electromechanical or mechanical equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, adjust, test, perform periodic maintenance of standard equipment and systems.
- Use troubleshooting equipment to assist in problem solving.
- Assist with technical expertise for evaluation and decision on necessary adjustments in the PM plan for instruments/units.
- Record and report abnormal functioning of equipment or of conditions and initiate corrective actions.
- Identify suppliers for spare parts, calculate costs and prepare requisition.
- Perform regular rounds according to the needs of the business.
- Assist with technical expertise in the purchase of equipment.
- Assist with technical expertise when signing contracts.
- Test, evaluate and adjust instruments and devices after completion of repair.
- Document inspections, maintenance work, repairs and other work according to guidelines and methods.
- Communicate with customer employees and external suppliers during calibration, repair and operation of equipment, and if necessary coordinate with external suppliers regarding repairs.
- If necessary, install and/or upgrade firmware and modular parts.
- Meet the company's policies, procedures and follow the company's standards and live up to the company's values according to RISE.
- Perform work in accordance with applicable safety regulations and procedures.
- Expected to secure their workplace and carry out a risk assessment before starting work.
- Actively participate in improvement work, to create a safer and better working environment.
- Identify, report and remedy deviations according to developed routines.
- Plan and perform assigned tasks according to expected delivery.
Basic Qualifications:
- Three-year technical degree, or equivalent related work experience.
- One year's experience in the installation, adjustment, maintenance and repair of equipment or experience deemed equivalent.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to understand as well as interpret instructions, formulate e-mails, memos and ask clear questions to ensure understanding.
- Ability to write clear routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, employees and/or supervisors.
- Ability to instruct other techniques in relevant instruments and its operation.
- Expected to share information about current events or instruments relevant to the department/company.
- Communicate in writing and orally in both Swedish and English
- Expected to actively participate and contribute to meetings in accordance with company policies.
Working Environment:
- Must be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, etc.) in laboratory.
- Successful applicants will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test, and other background checks.
- PerkinElmer has a 6 month probationary period.
