Payroll Specialist | Embla Medical Stockholm

You will be part of the Payroll EMEA team which currently consists of 6 employees. You will also work closely with the Scandinavian People team and the EMEA People team. The position is based in our office in Kista north of Stockholm and you will report to the EMEA Payroll Manager.
Your role
You will be the process owner of the outsourced payroll process for our 2 Swedish legal entities, and be the first point of contact for our payroll outsourcing partner. You will also coordinate the monthly payroll process, from input to output, and be responsible for coordinating the Time and Attendance solution. Your role also includes support and advice in ad hoc questions regarding HR related systems, policies, procedures and standards. Some of your tasks:
- Support the administrative process related to compensations and benefits
- Support HR Business Partner and HR Generalist with the Merit Process - by providing input from Payroll and processes the final merit data in Payroll and Benefit Administration
- Follow up on sick leave certificates toward Payroll Partner and Insurance Company
- Coordinate the demographic changes in the T&A system, e.g. new hires and terminations
- Process the time and expense reports in the monthly Payroll
- Monitor changes of the legislation and regulations in Sweden that are related to or have impact on Payroll and align them with our internal policies
- Submit statutory HR reports to authorities and answering questions of the authorities that relates to payroll
- Responsible for ad hoc reporting and input to the finance department if needed
- Provide ad hoc support to the Accounting Team in our Financial Shared Service Center with Payroll related P&L and Balance reconciliation
- Contribute to the improvement of the Employee Life Cycle processes in Workday and other systems (from onboarding to offboarding)
Your profile
- Couple of years’ experience of payroll administration in Sweden, and experience of working with payroll outsourcing partners
- Good knowledge of payroll and tax related laws in Sweden
- Basic understanding of general HR administration and Swedish labor law
- Good knowledge in Excel
- Fluent language skills in Swedish and very good in English
- Experience with working with an HR system, preferably Workday
- Experience with time registration and travel expense report system, preferably Flex HRM

The employment
