Do you want help us to promote a healthy planet for future generations? We are currently seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to enhance our Marine Electrification department!

Main Responsibilities

· Lead mechanical design in marine electrification projects.

· Coordinate the tasks within the mechanical engineering team.

· Ensure seamless integration of external systems into our solutions.

· Identify and implement standard components and products in designs.

· Oversee detailed mechanical design development and project-specific equipment.

· Conduct calculations to verify designs.

· Develop conceptual designs, layouts, and production drawings in AutoDesk Inventor.

· Update drawings to "As-Built" documentation based on feedback.

· Plan and manage tasks, deadlines, and progress reporting to stakeholders.

Supporting Responsibilities

· Assist project managers in client meetings.

· Conduct vessel surveys to support design work.

· Contribute to technical and commercial tenders.

· Recommend and implement improved production methods and materials.

· Verify, approve, and provide input for supplier designs and reports.

· Evaluate and select new technologies in collaboration with R&D.

· Engage with suppliers to define requirements for purchased products.

· Support installation teams upon questions during installation.

· Assist in verifying quality of delivered solutions.

Requirements

🎓 Education:

· MSc/BSc in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

🛠 Work Experience & Skills:

· Strong mechanical design expertise, particularly in maritime environments.

· Understanding of shipbuilding concepts and industry standards.

· Experience designing to ship classification rules, Eurocode, and international standards.

· Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD 2D/3D, Vault, and Plant 3D.

· Meritorious with knowledge of marine systems such as fire detection, firefighting, HVAC, CCTV, and shell doors.
