Functional Tester

About the company

Mero are happy to support our client with a Functional Tester where you will collaberate closely with the Software Quality team with the goal of delivering the world’s most advanced and intuitive products within the field. The company is developing a product for consumers, and you will have colleagues both globally and locally in Malmö. We will provide more information about the company at the next step of the recruitment.

You will be hired as a consultant for the first 7 months, with the possibility of an extension.

About the Role

As a key member of the QA team, you will be responsible for analyzing test plans and requirements, ensuring the organization and validation of documentation. This includeswriting and executing test cases, identifying and reporting issues with debugging details and performing manual & automating test cases. More specificly you will work with:

Analyze the scope of features, functional specifications, and system requirements.

Collaborate with QA Certification Managers, Program Managers, and Testing Teams in the development and refinement of test plans.

Review documentation for quality, accuracy, and completeness.

Monitor version control, release updates, and changelog documentation.

Design, write, and execute manual test cases.

Develop and maintain automated test cases, primarily using Python, based on system requirements.

Validate software releases and provide support to the Integration Test team.

Create, track, and manage issue logs while reviewing externally reported issues.

Your knowledge & Experience

To succeed in this role, we think that you have a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related technical field combined with proficiency in Functional Testing.You are also skilled in Linux administration, automation and installation combined with great knowledge in testing tools such as Xray.

You also need to be fluent in English. Experience & Skills within automated testing in Python andEmbedded software systemswould be a big plus, but not required if you have technical interest and drive to learn.
