Industrial Designer with focus on User Studies

At Autoliv Sweden, we are working with innovation. Our focus is to bring life-saving innovations to mobility and society – driving and enabling new growth for Autoliv by transforming markets. We do this in cross functional teams and in close cooperation with Autoliv Research who is also located on site. We also have unique testing and prototype facilities which is essential to our innovation efficiency and precision.

We are now expanding our team with and Industrial Designer with focus on User studies.

About the role

You will join as a Development Engineer (HMI) in a team that aims to perform Advanced Engineering Studies within the mechatronics area. We are working with innovation in its early phases by evaluating new ideas and creating early concepts to test them.

You will mainly work on preparing, conducting and analyzing results from user studies. This could involve everything from how the next generation steering devices will look like, to more hands-on evaluations about our current products. As we are a broad and multidisciplinary team, that together aim to construct and evaluate early concepts, you will have room to grow and learn from others.

About you

We believe that you are not afraid to take own initiatives and love to meet new people. We also believe that you are a great team player and curious about the holistic perspective. You likely have a background in Industrial Design and enjoy preparing, conducting and analyzing user studies. You are not afraid to come up with design ideas and like to work hands-on with the concepts.

We believe it is beneficial for candidates to possess one or more of the relevant experiences listed below:

• M.Sc. in Industrial Design, or similar
• Preparing, conducting and analyzing user studies
• VR, Driving Simulator or In-vehicle studies
• Design Driven Methodology
• Experience from designing physical or UX designs
• B driver license
