Privacy Engineer

What you will do:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Privacy Engineer who is not only passionate about privacy, data protection, integrity, and ethics, but also about developing software. The successful candidate will be part of developing software solutions that ultimately ensure our customers and co-workers privacy is protected. As a Privacy Engineer, you will work in our Privacy Enablement team to develop, integrate, and maintain software and automation solutions that take us to the next level of data protection for our customers and co-workers.

• Design, develop, and integrate software solutions for various privacy projects
• Develop experiments, proof of concepts, and early pilots
• Learn more about privacy engineering, software development, and scaling projects in our global size and impact
• Be part of taking software solutions from ideas and concepts to global rollout

Who are you?

We expect that you are passionate about software development and interested in the privacy engineering space.

What we hope that you bring to the table:

• Experience in software development in languages such as Python and Golang
• Experience in data engineering and building data pipelines
• Experience in software architecture, cloud native applications, and Google Cloud
• Familiarity with privacy enhancing technologies, such as differential privacy
• Familiarity with data protection frameworks, such as GDPR and NIST

Together as a Team

You would be joining the Cyber Security & Privacy capability, a part of Ingka Group Digital, where we set the digital agenda to keep IKEA leading in an uncertain and fast-moving environment. We drive the development, provision, and operation of our digital products and services using new and existing technologies, as well as agile delivery methods to deliver at pace.

At the same time, we provide a home for digital skills to both develop and extend the technical, people and business skills needed to ensure continuous development and growth of our digital capability.

The Privacy Enablement team within the Cyber Security & Privacy capability ensures that our large group of Cyber Engineers and digital product teams have the tools necessary to build in privacy and data protection in their digital products as early as possible. Privacy Engineering is a new space for us, and we're excited about testing new things, innovating, experimenting, and making an impact
