What you will do:
In your role you will participate in pre-development activities where we study overall and detailed aspects of technology to come and as well be a member of product development projects aiming towards a successful product to offer our customers. Some of your responsibilities will be performed individually, but most of them will be in cross-disciplinary teams both locally and globally. You typically interact with other technical disciplines such as Thermal, Interconnect, Printed Board Assembly, Industrial Design as well as mechanical suppliers/partners and Ericsson’s global production organization.
Responsibilities:
* Mechanical design, using MCAD tool Creo, of 5G & 6G Telecom Equipment Enclosures (mainly Radio products) with typical components made by aluminum die casting, plastic injection molding and sheet metal
* Deliver designs that are top performing with regards to in-field robustness, cost efficiency, high technology density, electro-mechanical design, usability, modularity, quality and sustainability
* Pre-development work to secure technical leadership with a 2-5 year horizon
You will bring:
* Creative mind, innovative and eager to learn
* Collaboration skills
* Good communication - fluent English
* MCAD tool experience, preferably Creo
* Genuine interest in product development and mechanical engineering, preferably with experience in die casting / injection molding design
* Experience within some of the area’s: structural mechanical simulations, generative AI designs, electro-mechanical design, thermal design, usability (user friendly / easy installation), design for manufacturing/assembly, sustainability in mechanical design
