The Opportunity
Polestar is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Content and Social Media to lead all organic content production. This pivotal role will oversee a multidisciplinary team of producers, photographers, videographers, writers, and social media specialists, ensuring the delivery of high-quality content across diverse channels.
The role is responsible for executing Polestar’s content strategy beyond large-scale advertising campaigns, supporting key business functions such as PR, CRM, Customer Experience (CX), Markets, and Marketing. A core component of this position is the management of Polestar’s social media ecosystem, including owned channels and both paid and organic influencer collaborations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development and execution of all organic content production.
- Oversee the management and optimization of Polestar’s social media channels.
- Develop and control content production budgets to ensure cost-efficient execution.
- Establish and maintain a robust content production schedule.
- Drive the performance of paid social media content amplification.
- Oversee paid and unpaid influencer partnerships and activations.
- Ensure seamless content coordination and delivery across all Polestar functions.
- Utilize analytics and performance metrics to drive engagement and refine growth strategies.
- Foster collaboration across the wider Polestar business to maximize content impact while optimizing resources.
The Ideal Candidate
- 15+ years of experience in editorial and content production.
- 6+ years of social media management experience.
- 4+ years of leading high-performing content teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, History, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience managing content and social media agencies.
- Established influencer network and expertise in influencer marketing.
- 6+ years of experience managing content budgets effectively.
Key Stakeholders
Internal: Works closely with the entire marketing and communications team, serving as a resource for each function head to execute content-driven initiatives.
External: Collaborates with social agencies, creative agencies, and external partners to drive Polestar’s content and social media presence.
