An exciting opportunity

Our client, a renowned Swedish multinational automobile manufacturing corporation is on the lookout for a Product Owner to lead the development of Embedded Systems focusing on the coordination and integration of software and hardware for Electronic Control Units (ECUs).

What you will do

• Act as the central point of contact for coordination between internal teams, external suppliers, and stakeholders in the development of embedded ECU systems.
• Translate high-level functional descriptions into detailed technical requirements for both hardware and software components.
• Lead the integration and rollout of new software/hardware across global engineering sites, collaborating closely with teams in different regions.
• Drive test and verification activities, particularly for climate control modules, including sensor integration, actuator control, and thermal system behavior under various environmental conditions.
• Analyze and resolve quality issues during both development and industrialization phases, including fault tracing, logging, and root cause analysis.
• Provide support for validation and troubleshooting throughout the development lifecycle, including on-vehicle and rig-based testing.
• Facilitate clear and efficient communication with suppliers on specifications, diagnostics, and compliance topics.
• Promote continuous improvement by contributing to agile process enhancements, testing methodologies, and product efficiency strategies.

What the candidate shall bring

• 10+ years of experience in embedded systems development, with recent hands-on involvement in thermal management, infotainment, or connectivity domains.
• Strong background in test, integration, and verification of climate control modules and related systems, including experience with environmental testing and system calibration.
• Proven leadership in troubleshooting complex issues across hardware and software domains.
• Familiarity with test object management, software distribution, system architecture, and cloud-integrated service verification.
• Proficient in Agile/SCRUM methodologies, with certifications such as Product Owner and Scrum Master.
• Practical experience with tools like CANoe/CANalyzer, JIRA/VIRA, Splunk, and test/data management tools.
• Experience working within international, multi-disciplinary teams across various project phases.
