Summer worker – Finance

About the position
We are now looking to appoint a summer worker for the Finance group in the Finance & Business Control (F&BC) division.
The Finance & Business Control Division maintains and supports ESS’s fiscal responsibilities through accounting, controlling, and financial compliance. We provide financial oversight and business controlling services to ESS. We cover accounting, VAT, reimbursements, Member contributions, financing, cash flow, financial reporting, analyses, monitoring, business planning, and large insurances.
As summer worker for accounts payable your main area of work will be to support the Finance Group with the processing of invoices. This includes taking care of mail from our suppliers, registration of invoices, following up on statements and payments to make sure invoices are paid in time. In addition, you will work on consolidating databases.
About you
A suitable background for this position would be:
• You are studying accounting, business, or economics.
• Ideally, you have first experience with accounts payable already.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Minimum age 18 years.
We believe that you enjoy communicating and collaborating with a variety of people in an international environment. You are good at taking initiative and not afraid to ask questions. We attach great importance to personality and attitude, so we're looking for a real team player: Someone who is sociable, has excellent communication skills and who likes to collaborate with different people from different backgrounds.
Duration and location
This is a summer work position of eight weeks.
Planned start date is 9th of June, 2025 or per agreement.
It would be great if you could join for a few days of training in late May.
Your workplace is on-site at ESS in Lund, Sweden.
