Global Material Controller

Position Description
What you do matters. As a Material Planner, you ensure that our plant(s) keep moving — and that our customers get what they need, when they need it.
In this role you will focus on efficiently and effectively procuring material from suppliers to our manufacturing plant(s). This is primarily done by analyzing and acting on late/early deliveries and other warnings/alerts to ensure on time deliveries and material availability at point of use. Your attention to detail and quick decision-making makes a real difference, every day, to keep the heart of our operations beating.
As a Material Planner, your primary tasks are:
• Daily monitor the deliveries from suppliers according to the call off and act on deviations
• Manage deviations swiftly and take decisions in the most cost-efficient way in order to minimize risks of disturbances, e.g. rush transport management
• Communicate to internal stake holders on the risky part list
• Maintain accurate master data critical to MRP calculations
• Monitor stock levels to control the inventory and avoid shortages/excess inventory
• Monitor MRP Alarms (e.g. missing ASN) and take necessary actions
• Frequent communication with suppliers and colleagues within the Volvo Group to manage risks/crisis situations in the supply chain
• Continuously work on improvements to enhance operational efficiency of your portfolio, e.g. via optimizing inventory/transport, ways of working etc.
Qualifications
You have an academic degree preferably related to Supply Chain and/or significant proven experience within Logistics/Supply Chain. Experience in SAP S/4Hana, will be considered a strong merit - as well as skills in citizen development e..g O365, Power BI. Fully proficient in Swedish and English due to the nature of the role.

You possess the ability to adapt to different cultures, work both independently and in teams. You have excellent communication and collaboration skills and can build strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
