Data & Analytics Specialist

Assignment Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Data & Analytics Specialist for a full-time assignment focused on enabling data-driven decision-making through structured access to business-critical data and scalable analytics solutions. This position involves both technical execution and strategic influence on how analytics is utilized to deliver measurable business value.

The role includes the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of BI platforms and tools, as well as the ability to coach stakeholders in how to effectively work with self-service analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Design and deliver actionable reports and visualizations
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Structure and make data accessible to support informed decision-making
• Support and guide business users in adopting data tools and best practices

Innovation & Process Improvement

• Promote the adoption of emerging analytics technologies and techniques
• Drive improvements in analytics capabilities and ways of working
• Participate in tool and methodology evaluations to support evolving needs
• Collaborate within internal communities to define and share best practices in advanced analytics, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI)

Security & Compliance

• Ensure data solutions comply with internal policies and external regulations, including privacy and security standards

Decision-Making Authority

Individual Responsibility:

• Independently handle documentation, monitoring, and reporting of analytics activities within the area of responsibility

Collaborative Decision-Making:

• Co-prioritize backlog in alignment with stakeholders and resource availability
• Contribute to the selection of analytics tools and platforms in partnership with internal analytics communities

Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IT and analytics solution development
• Proven experience supporting finance-related reporting and analytics is a plus

Technical Competencies

• Proficient in data visualization tools such as Power BI
• Deep understanding of data warehousing, modeling, and data architecture
• Familiarity with database systems and cloud data platforms
• Experience working with analytics in agile and DevOps environments
• Knowledge of ML/AI technologies and how to apply them to business problems
• Hands-on experience designing scalable and secure data pipelines

Interpersonal & Communication Skills

• Strong ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights
• Skilled at engaging with cross-functional stakeholders, especially finance and business units
• Comfortable facilitating workshops and presenting technical content to non-technical audiences
• Collaborative team player with a problem-solving mindset and a drive for continuous improvement
