Are you an engineer and a process specialist, passionate about innovation? TreeToTextile are looking to recruit a Process Engineer Specialist that together with the team will contribute to a sustainable textile industry. This is a role for someone that enjoys working in an industrial environment with problem solving and process development.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Process Engineer Specialist will be instrumental in the scaling of TTT technology to full scale. This pivotal role encompasses the oversight of technology development at the Demo scale, coupled with the responsibility to strategize and execute process improvements and modifications. The purpose of the role is to ensure that technological improvements are effectively transitioned from concept to full-scale operational implementation, aligning with the company’s vision for innovation and operational excellence. The Process Engineer Specialist will report to Head of Operations and Engineering.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of cutting-edge process technologies and product improvements.
  • Lead process improvement projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic vision and market demands.
  • Lead site selection activities for the full-scale scale-up and maintain up-to-date plant documentation to facilitate the next scale-up step.
  • Cultivate an environment of peer-to-peer empowerment, encouraging team members to take ownership of their projects and collaborate effectively.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Demo, and application development teams to implement the latest know-how from within the company to the technology, ensuring agile process development.
  • Engage with external partners and stakeholders to ensure the successful scaling of technologies and processes.
  • Maintain a culture of safety-first in all aspects of work.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a person that enjoys problem solving, can adapt to changing circumstances and who has a strong drive towards predetermined goals. We also see that you have an interest in development, innovation and of course in sustainability. Ideally, we are looking for someone that understands the textile industry’s technical challenges, especially in the context of sustainability and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree in technology, engineering, or a related field, with ideally a focus on sustainable materials or textile technology.
  • Proven engineering experience within the process industry, particularly in scaling new technologies.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and inspire technical teams, driving them towards achieving commercial maturity of innovative products.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Solid interest in growing people and organizations.

ABOUT TREETOTEXTILE

Swedish-based TreeToTextile drives systemic change in the textile industry by providing next-generation cellulose fiber for a resilient planet. Together with our committed owners H&M Group, Inter IKEA Group, Stora Enso, Lenzing Group and LSCS Invest, TreeToTextile is developing a renewable and resource-efficient man-made cellulose fiber with attractive properties and low environmental impact, affordable to all. The fiber has the potential to complement or replace parts of the cotton, viscose and polyester markets.

In 2023, the TreeToTextile Demo factory in Nymölla started operation and in June 2024 the first bale of unoptimized fiber was produced. To make our fiber available on a global market, the next step will be to build a flagship factory somewhere in Europe, followed by several supersites globally in the coming years.

TreeToTextile currently has approximately 50 employees. In addition to our own employees, we have a large ecosystem of partners such as strong support from our owners, consultants, development partners, etc.
