In Range Operations we create optimal preconditions for the business and people to design, develop and manage the IKEA range offer in a connected and optimized IKEA value chain – to deliver growth and enable low cost.

Specialist Functions is one of the departments in Range Operations and hosts several assignments connected to specialists. Now the Specialist Functions is diversifying its skills, and we are growing to get even closer to the product range.

India Way Forward is a long-term direction to exponentially grow IKEA in India and reach our ambitious goals. It is a joint effort of the full value chain of Inter IKEA and INGKA, brought under one clear direction for India 2030. It focuses on – amongst other things – repositioning the IKEA brand, creating a more relevant local range offer, tackling the challenges of compliance and creating new customer meeting points.

We are now building a new team with diverse competence to take the next step in this journey and are looking for 2 Product Sourcing Developers.

In this role you will be reporting to the Compliance and Requirements Manager for Expanding Markets.

Job Description

In this role, you will have a great opportunity to lead the sourcing agenda for the development and transformation of our range for the Indian market. You will do this by cooperating with the engineering team close to you, Category teams, Range Areas, New Business Teams, Development Centers and other stakeholders in IKEA. You will lead the optimization of our value chain and enable a lower total cost products for the many people in India.

So, what would you do:

• Bridge the knowledge between requirements and compliance for Indian market and Category possibilities for sourcing of products to the Indian market.
• Secure material selection in line with market needs, requirements and compliance constraints.
• Secure that supplier manufacturing capabilities are considered in new products and/or improvements projects.
• Create clarity on cost (purchasing and total) and price impact to retail for the products and projects that you are responsible for.
• Enable collaboration with the Range Areas and different stakeholders (Categories, Suppliers, New Business Teams, Development Centers) and act on opportunities and deviations to support the movement for the Indian market (available products at optimal total cost).
• Responsibility to conclude business case based on optimal sourcing set-up (considering all constraints)
• Lead the segment and/or product areas assigned for the Indian range transformation

Qualifications

• You are flexible, adaptable, solution oriented and comfortable working with moving targets.
• Are comfortable to lead the sourcing assignment in the unknown and find your path to lowest possible total cost.
• Have experience within related fields such as product development, sourcing, project leadership within IKEA.
• Know how to perform risk assessments and scenario planning.
• Have the capability to lead with a holistic and cross functional view, always having customer, supplier, and total cost in mind.
• Can lead and deliver results through own competence and involving and engaging others, independent of location and/or stakeholder's position.
• Have very strong communication and networking skills.
• Have capability to analyze and draw conclusions from a total business perspective.
• IKEA of Sweden is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world and you therefore need to be fluent in English both verbal and written.
