Component Engineer- Mechanical & Electromechanical
Are you structured, curious and interested in mechanical design and quality? Do you want to work with ensuring the quality of mechanical and electromechanical components in production, together with suppliers and colleagues? Here you get the chance to handle different components used in Axis products. We are looking for a Component Engineer to join our Global Sourcing Quality team in Lund!
Your future team
Axis Sourcing is a dedicated team, working in a creative and challenging environment. We play an important role in the company's success by building a stable supply chain, maintaining high quality and being competitive in the market.
What you are going to do here as a Component Engineer
* Manage quality issues for mechanical and electromechanical components in Axis products, using the PLM system Windchill.
* Work with suppliers to solve quality issues quickly and smoothly.
* Drive projects to find alternative suppliers, in collaboration with Mechanical Engineers, Product Maintenance, Quality Engineers and other experts.
* Work together with Purchasing Managers and Quality Departments within Operations to improve supplier quality.
* Plan and make supplier visits to drive development (approx. 20-40 travel days per year).
Who are we looking for?
You have attention to details, enjoy problem solving, addressing the root cause and are a good team player. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
We love for you to have:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (new graduate? Welcome to apply!).
* Knowledge of mechanical components, quality work and manufacturing processes.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
* Ability to work both independently and in teams.
