About us At RISE Processum, we are developing the bio-based processes of the future together with the industry. Through chemistry and biotechnology, we seek to maximize resource efficiency and sustainability in the utilization of society's residual streams for new fossil-free products in food, feed, chemicals, materials and fuel. Within our cluster activities, guidance in techno-economic assessment to both large and small companies in the bioeconomy is a crucial step in the development of new sustainable and competitive concepts. Our projects range from shorter assignments to larger national and international research projects, often in collaboration with colleagues from RISE's various areas of expertise.

About the role In collaboration with a team of experts in biotechnology, chemistry, process simulations, business development and technoeconomic assessments you will develop new research and development projects from idea to finished results. You are comfortable in conducting contract research to support industry in developing roadmaps for expanding or transitioning current business into competitive and sustainable new market offers. A substantial part of the role is also to develop tools and knowledge through publicly funded collaboration projects. You will also participate in the development of internal TEA activities at RISE.

The location is Örnsköldsvik.

Requirements for the role

• M.Sc Engineering or Natural sciences, preferably within Biotechnology or Chemistry
• Experience from working in or closely linked to bioeconomy related industries
• Experience in performing value chain analyses at different levels and techno-economic assessment on biobased processes
• Experience with process simulations tools such as Aspen
• Project management experience within research and development
• You speak and write fluently in Swedish or English
