Software Engineer

THE ROLE

The team is now looking for a Junior Software Engineer with a broad background in software development, you will be driving technical decisions within the team and taking an active part in the company’s overall architectural and strategic discussions around ensuring scalability and enabling growth. Day-to-day you will be writing code with the team.

THE TEAM

The Orchestration Team at Toptracer develops scalable software to enhance operations, efficiency, and productivity. We aim to expand Toptracer Range locations with robust, scalable software, leveraging Kubernetes, observability tools, and standardized OS for servers and edge devices. We automate provisioning for physical and virtual servers and network devices.

As we tackle automation challenges, you'll play a key role in technical decisions, architecture, and strategy while staying hands-on with the code. Join us to shape the software architecture of an innovative tech company alongside a passionate, diverse team.

TECH STACK

• AWS and Docker for running and hosting backends and API’s
• Python for backend and general application development
• Flask for API development
• Kubernetes for orchestration and application environment
• Angular and React for web frontend
• PostgreSQL for database
• Bash for general scripting
• Linux for dev as well as prod environments.

WE BELIEVE YOU

• Have experience in software development and a strong willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.
• Have basic experience or understanding of deploying and maintaining cloud-based and distributed systems.
• Have some familiarity with AWS and an interest in learning to build CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Gitlab) for Linux environments.
• Are curious about understanding how large systems and their components integrate.
• Have some experience in backend programming (e.g., Python with Flask/Django/FastAPI) and are motivated to enhance your skills.
• Are comfortable working in an agile environment and open to feedback.
• Are enthusiastic about learning software architecture while enjoying hands-on coding tasks.
• Are motivated to contribute to architectural discussions and decisions as you develop your expertise, helping the team manage architecture effectively.
