Art Teacher – Internationella Engelska Skolan Sigtuna

Internationella Engelska Skolan Västerås is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Art Teacher to join our team for the 2025/2026 academic year. This role involves teaching Art to students in grades 4–9 from diverse backgrounds, contributing to a creative, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment.Your responsibilities:

- Teach Art to students in grades 4–9
- Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
- Share mentorship duties and support the academic and personal development of students
- Maintain regular communication with students and guardians
- Uphold and actively contribute to the school’s values and educational vision
- Collaborate with the student health and special education teams
- Participate in school events and activities that promote the aesthetics departmentWe are looking for someone who:

- Holds a valid Swedish teaching certification (lärarlegitimation) in Art or an equivalent foreign teacher qualification.
- Is proficient in both English and Swedish, spoken and written
- Has experience teaching Art, preferably in grades 4–9
- Inspires creative expression and active student engagement
- Builds a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
- Has a flexible, positive, and collaborative approach to work
