Supply Chain Development (SCD) is one of the business units at IKEA Supply and we are on an exciting journey! By gathering the end-to-end supply chain development and innovation agenda into one organization, embedding management and development of processes and digital solutions into the business, we will meet the future with the right competences and business capabilities. By this we will also create the preconditions to a world class supply chain that enable IKEA to efficiently respond to the ever-changing customer needs. We are now looking for Team Manager within area of Supply Chain Planning Development within SCD. You will work closely with the Competence Hub Development Manager; support to cocreate and implement people strategy for the Hub.

As a Team Manager, you will mainly work with the following:

  • Responsible for enabling preconditions for the team to perform their assignment according to our IKEA values and set business priorities
  • Responsible for leading people to perform and deliver, continuously work with competence development, recruitment, and proactive succession within the area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for preparing, supporting and enabling the implementation of common ways of working and collaborating with stakeholders within IKEA value chain.
  • Contribute to identifying optimal pre-conditions for people in the business to perform in their assignments and deliver to our strategies and goals connected to the Capability area.
  • Contribute to budgeting process by preparing initiated input on need of resources, development and investment or service needs
  • Lead the team by example, coach and motivate co-workers.
  • Responsible for recruitment, development, performance management, retention, allocation and succession plan for co-workers within assigned scope.
  • Contributing to developing competences within the scope of responsibility: Identify needs and gaps and build competence plans to meet the short and long term business needs
  • At any time, act as an ambassador of IKEA values and role model for fact-based business leadership.
  • Taking on additional assignments based on capability area business needs.

Qualifications


What we’d like you to bring to the table

We expect you to have solid experience in supply chain as well as in technology, digitalization, and automation. You have strong proven leadership, comfortable in leading transformation in the unknown, are curious and great at building relationships with stakeholders and colleagues. As a person you appreciate collaborative spirit and how you lead with strong focus on people, process, data and technology.

To be successful in the position of a Team Manager we believe that you have:

  • High motivation to lead people & secure competence development
  • Knowledge and understanding of the IKEA processes and organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of how technology, digitalization, and automation add value in supply chain business process management and development work.
  • Strong knowledge of IKEA leadership and team dynamics
  • Knowledge of the IKEA operating model; People, Process, Data & Technology
  • Strong knowledge of the IKEA' value chain
  • Good understanding of how your everyday work adds customer value by delivering results
  • Experience in vendor and contract management
  • Good knowledge of the agile mindset and methodology.
  • A can-do entrepreneur mindset
  • Fluent in English
  • Proven experience in leading people towards highly performing individuals.
