Solution Engineer – Documentation (EU Data Act Compliance)

We are currently seeking a highly detail-oriented Solution Engineer with a strong focus on documentation to support an important initiative related to data and API compliance. The assignment involves producing and maintaining technical documentation aligned with the requirements of the EU Data Act, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and legal alignment across all deliverables.

Assignment Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for researching, structuring, and authoring comprehensive technical and integration documentation. The scope includes API specifications, data models, process flows, and vocabularies essential for legal compliance and effective system integration. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams from legal, business, and technology domains to gather insights and ensure that all documentation meets regulatory and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Create integration and data documentation in accordance with EU Data Act requirements
• Write and maintain OpenAPI specifications for APIs
• Develop and manage code lists, controlled vocabularies, and relevant metadata
• Document data models, business processes, and workflow descriptions
• Coordinate closely with legal, tech, and business teams to gather required input
• Establish and maintain procedures to ensure documentation stays accurate and current after system go-live
• Perform routine reviews and updates to reflect legislative changes or technical adjustments
• Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on how to navigate and use the documentation effectively
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation standards, tools, and methodologies

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven expertise in technical writing, with a strong command of English
• Exceptional attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation
• Familiarity with legal terminology and regulatory frameworks
• Solid understanding of information architecture, process mapping, and workflow documentation
• Experience with data modeling and data mapping practices
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across various disciplines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex information into accessible content
