Release Manager – Driving Seamless Deliveries Across E-Commerce Platforms

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Release Manager to take full ownership of release planning and execution within a complex, multi-brand e-commerce environment. In this role, you will serve as the central point of contact for all release-related activities, ensuring coordination across business stakeholders, product development teams, site operations, and technical platforms.

About the Role

As Release Manager, you will lead the end-to-end release process – from planning and preparation through execution and post-release support. You will ensure that every release is executed with precision, while continuously improving workflows to enable faster, more reliable software deliveries.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, manage interdependencies, mitigate risks, and maintain transparency across all stakeholders. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on coordination, making it ideal for someone with a solid background in both tech and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain master release timelines in collaboration with business owners, platform leads, site management, and operations
• Oversee release progress, ensuring quality and timely delivery
• Act swiftly to resolve blockers or deviations from the plan
• Provide clear and timely updates to internal stakeholders regarding release status
• Organize and facilitate internal Go/No Go assessments prior to release approval meetings
• Represent the e-commerce domain in group-level release decision forums
• Host cross-release coordination forums, including integration with enterprise systems such as SAP
• Prepare and lead defect walkthroughs and ensure resolution readiness
• Own and lead retrospectives for continuous improvement
• Monitor release execution during launch and post-go-live stabilization
• Drive strategic improvements in release workflows and define future-state release processes

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience as a Release Manager, Delivery Lead, Project Manager, or similar coordination role
• Solid understanding of system landscapes, preferably in digital commerce or enterprise-scale platforms
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and continuous delivery practices
• Proven ability to manage multiple streams of work and cross-team collaboration
• Strong leadership presence in decision-making forums
