Service Engineer
Assignment Description – Service Reliability Engineer
We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Service Reliability Engineer (SRE) to strengthen an operational engineering team working with always-on digital services. This role is crucial in ensuring high service availability and operational excellence across a 24/7 service landscape.
About the Role:
As an SRE, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the operational support structure, including processes and incident response workflows. You will work closely with DevOps teams that own their services end-to-end and will be instrumental in helping them manage operational responsibilities throughout the service lifecycle.
The role includes participation in an on-call rotation approximately every 5–6 weeks, where you will handle incidents and ensure swift recovery while maintaining service quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and maintain incident, problem, and event management processes in alignment with ITIL standards
- Provide operational support to cross-functional DevOps teams
- Contribute to service resilience and uptime through continuous improvements
- Proactively identify issues and drive long-term solutions
- Collaborate across teams to share knowledge and streamline reliability processes
- Work with monitoring tools to ensure visibility and rapid incident detection
- Help define and implement best practices in operations, automation, and observability

Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with 24/7 service operations or mission-critical environments
- Solid knowledge and application of ITIL processes (especially incident, problem, and event management)
- Previous customer support or operational service experience
- Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or equivalent)
- Experience with agile ways of working and frameworks such as SAFe
- Scripting and automation experience (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, or Datadog
Tech Environment:
