Solution Architect – Shape the Future of Mobility with Aimo

About the role

At Aimo, we believe smarter cities start with smarter mobility. As we continue to build a future-proof digital ecosystem, we’re looking for a Solution Architect to connect business strategy with the right technical solutions – and turn complexity into clarity.

You’ll play a key role in defining architecture patterns, shaping governance, and ensuring architectural investments align with long-term capability evolution. You’ll collaborate closely with enterprise architects and business stakeholders to guide how our technical solutions support strategic objectives – while mentoring others and influencing architectural thinking across domains.

You’ll work across platforms and teams, translating both functional and non-functional requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable architecture. Using tools like ArchiMate or UML, you ensure clarity, alignment, and documentation that enable efficient delivery and decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve Aimo’s system architecture in line with business goals and future scalability
• Define and productize APIs and standardize integration flows across platforms
• Take architectural ownership of critical backend systems, including legacy modernization
• Partner with enterprise and business architects to align on strategic direction
• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into robust architectural solutions
• Guide development teams across the Nordics with clarity, structure, and mentorship
• Shape and participate in architectural forums, governance, and portfolio planning
• Use modeling tools to drive structure, alignment, and documentation

About you

You’re a systems thinker who thrives in complexity and brings clarity where others see ambiguity. You’re not only technically strong – with a solid background in solution architecture, cloud platforms, and systems integration – but also someone who leads through collaboration, trust, and structure.

You take initiative, follow through on your commitments, and balance long-term vision with short-term delivery. You're confident guiding others, yet open to being challenged. You communicate clearly across roles, and you're the kind of person who improves how things are done – not by waiting to be asked, but because you care about the bigger picture.

We believe you bring:

• Solid experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar senior role
• Strong skills in cloud architecture (preferably AWS), microservices, API design, and integration
• Experience with ERP/CRM systems, data platforms, and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, UML) and agile delivery environments
• Fluency in English; Swedish or Finnish is a plus
