Insight Specialist to a global company in the home furnishing industry
A leading player in the home furnishing industry is looking for a Range Perception Insight Specialist to join their insights department. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping how the company understands product perception across over 50 markets, supporting smarter, customer-centric decisions with real-world data.
This is a full-time consulting assignment starting at September 2025 and runs to August 2026, with possible extension. The position is hybrid where 3 days a week on-site in Älmhult is preferred but can be discussed.
About the role This role focuses on building and evolving a global product perception tracking system, in collaboration with external suppliers and internal teams. You’ll translate perception data into actionable insights, helping to fine-tune product offerings in line with regional preferences. Reporting into the Range Insights team, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that data-driven understanding becomes a core part of strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Set up and lead the implementation of a global product perception tracking system in collaboration with external partners
- Analyze perception data and additional sources to deliver insights on consumer preferences and product relevance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to embed insights into commercial and strategic decisions for over 50 global markets
- Produce regular, concise, and impactful insight reports for key stakeholders
- Monitor market and industry trends to inform ongoing improvements to the tracking methodology
- Manage and align work with external suppliers to ensure high-quality delivery and relevance
- Contribute to building a more commercially optimized and locally relevant product offering
About you You are an analytical and strategic thinker who thrives at the intersection of data, consumer behavior, and business impact. With a solid background in market research or consumer insights, you understand how to turn perception data into meaningful change. Your ability to manage complex projects and communicate clearly with stakeholders makes you a valuable bridge between insight and action.
Experience and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus)
- Several years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or related roles
- Strong analytical capabilities and experience translating complex data into strategic insights
- Experience setting up and managing tracking systems in collaboration with external suppliers
- Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting skills
- Proven ability to convert insights into actionable decisions that shape product offerings
- Project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Experience with Power BI, SPSS, R, or Python is a plus
- Familiarity with the home furnishing industry or IKEA's product range is advantageous
