SSAB - Area Sales Manager - Duroxite
SSAB is a highly specialized global steel company driven by close relationships with customers. We are now looking for an Area Sales Manager for Duroxite within our Special Steels division. Duroxite is a premium overlay product that complements the Hardox offering and is the preferred solution for wear situations requiring overlay technology. About the position
As the Area Sales Manager for Duroxite, you will play a key role in shaping and growing the global sales and strategy for the Duroxite product line. You will work closely with local SSAB Special Steels (SSS) organizations in each Sales Area, provide them with information and tools to be successful with reaching our targets. You will be contributing to the overall sales strategy of Duroxite and supporting its successful implementation together with product management, marketing, supply chain and other related functions.
You will be part of the Tubes & Profiles, Duroxite and XMOR Sales area management team, reporting to the Sales Director.
Main responsibilities
- Collaborate with global teams to drive sales development of Duroxite.
- Contribute to and support the strategy development and implementation for Duroxite.
- Oversee sales planning including budgeting, forecasting, pricing, customer development, and performance tracking.
- Identify opportunities for product upgrades through field analysis and strategic initiatives.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable sales and development activities.
- Support regional sales organizations and Hardox Wearparts in executing the sales strategy.
- Enhance product and segment knowledge within the Special Steels organization.
- Foster strong, long-term relationships with key customers and promote value creation through business optimization.
- Lead cross-functional teams and respond to market changes based on customer feedback and competitor analysis.
About You
- University degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in collaborative environments.
- Strategic mindset with a strong understanding of business and finance.
- Familiarity with the wear segment and overlay applications, or a willingness to learn.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Experience in developing and executing sales strategies in a global context.
- Commitment to safety, sustainability, and inclusive business practices.
