Communications Officer

Do you have a love for storytelling, nature, and real impact? We’re looking for a creative and committed communicator to join our team at Rewilding Sweden, based in Umeå.

You’ll help bring wild nature back to life — and bring people along with it. From wilder forests to free-flowing rivers, our work restores ecosystems across the 'Nordic Taiga', supporting keystone species and creating spaces for people to live and work in nature.

As our Communications Officer, you’ll:

• Create compelling content across platforms
• Build relationships with media and local partners
• Share stories that inspire landowners, communities, and the wider public
• Support events, campaigns, and rewilding initiatives on the ground

We’re looking for someone with:

• Excellent writing skills in Swedish and English
• A feel for visual and emotional storytelling
• A background in comms, journalism, PR or some other way to demonstrate transferrable capabilities (3+ years)
• A personal connection to nature and a collaborative mindset

You’ll join a small but driven team working alongside Rewilding Europe to reshape landscapes and the human relationship with the wild.
