Failure analysis and repair Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES AND GOALS FOR THE ROLE
Lead team of product failure investigations and repair procedures globally
· Develop and maintain failure analysis and repair procedures documentation
· Monitor debug and repair data / trends for potential KPI impacts
· Active participation in resolution of product and manufacturing quality related issues with a continuous improvement approach
· Provide regular reporting including top offenders action planning and KPI analysis
· Support development and improvement in product, QA & production designs.
· Training personnel, drive quality and efficiency in processes
Drive EHS & QA procedures adherence
TASKS AND RECURRING ACTIVITIES
· Perform, monitor and report on product repair investigations
· Analyze and determine the root causes of failures that occur during manufacturing, product use, or as customer returns.
· Create comprehensive plans to investigate failures, considering background information and designing a step-by-step process for analysis.
· Perform tests and inspections procedures
Document and present data, findings, and recommendations to various teams, executives, and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR THE ROLE
· Minimum of 5 year’s experience in failure analysis, diagnose, debug and repair production of multi-discipline electronics equipment.
· Experience from telecom and/or energy products.
· Knowledge in Lithium Batteries.
· Must be able to analyze and correct complex product, test and/or process issues using independent judgment.
· Bachelor Engineering Degree (Electronic Engineering or similar experience).
· Have the ability to work independently, take initiatives and lead the team.
· Working knowledge of statistical methods and process capability, ability to apply statistical tools – Cpk, GR&R, tests for differences, DOE
· Quality improvement methods (pareto, root cause analysis, FMEA, 8D/DMAIC, etc).
· English language is a must.
· A methodical and structured approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
